Avocledine ® capsule

Each capsule contains:
Avocado & Soybean oil Unsaponifiables Extract: 300mg
Avocado oil unsaponifiable (Persea Americana): 1 part
Soybean oil unsaponifiable (Glycin max): 2 parts

Mechanism of action:
Avocado & Soybean Unsaponifiables (ASU) are natural vegetable extracts made from avocado and soybean oils. The major components of ASU are phytosterols (mainly ß-sitosterols). The sterol contents of ASU preparations are the primary contributors to biological activity in articular chondrocytes.
ASU stimulates the synthesis of collagen and aggrecan by inhibiting inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6, IL-8. It also inhibits the breakdown of cartilage and promotes cartilage repair by inhibiting a number of molecules and pathways implicated in osteoarthritis.

Indications:
Degenerative joint diseases, osteoarthritis.

Dosage:
One capsule daily during meal with a glass of water.
The usual treatment duration is between 3 – 6 months.

Side effects:
Safety data obtained from clinical studies revealed a very low incidence of adverse effects which mainly are gastrointestinal disorders.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any substances of the medicine.
There is no data from the use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Drug interactions:
Consult your physician or pharmacist, if you are taking other medicines.

Presentation:
3 blisters of 6 capsules, for oral administration.

Storage:
Store below 25̊ C and avoid humidity.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not take the drug after the expiry date which is marked on the pack.
